Membership

Section B has been closed to new members from 1 April 1986.

If you are a member you can leave the Scheme at any time. Just give 1 month's notice by sending an opt-out form to Pension Services.

If you do leave the Scheme, you may not rejoin BTPS or any other BT pension arrangement. You will stop building up further benefits and your life cover will go down to two times your Pensionable Salary.
